Oman

The Hidden Jewel of the Arabian Peninsula

Oman: an open-hearted destination

One of Arabia’s undiscovered gems, The Sultanate of Oman, once a maritime empire that ruled much of the region and the center of the ancient frankincense trade, is a land of rugged coastlines and vast deserts where tradition and progress go hand in hand.

Blessed with a dazzling array of natural and cultural highlights, the country that spawned the legends of Sinbad the Sailor is also home to shifting sands and towering mountains, colonial forts and the rich azure waters of the Arabian Sea.

Our wonderful holidays take you from the heart of its picturesque capital, deep into the mountains, deserts and tribal strongholds of the old Omani Imamate Nizwa.

Beginning in Muscat you will follow the coastline south, heading to the historic old dhow shipyards of Sur and on towards Raz Al Jinz, the nesting grounds of rare green sea turtles.

After a night camping or glamping amongst the shifting sands of Wahiba, your journey then takes you on towards the rugged peaks of the Hajjar Mountains and the high point of your adventure.

Here, amongst the dramatic landscapes of the Green Mountain (Jabal Akhdar) and the Sun Mountain (Jabal Shams), you’ll discover villages steeped in the traditions of ages past, where ancient falaj water systems share the timeless vistas with imposing forts and wadis and oases that are amongst the most beautiful anywhere in the world.

Discover warm welcomes in one of the Middle East’s friendliest countries. There’s an intriguing mix of modern and traditional Oman to explore. Haggle over frankincense and gold in one of the many Souqs and visit a real-life oasis as you cool off in a refreshing wadi.

You’ll amble through mountaintop villages peppered with pomegranate and peach farms, then explore the desolate dunes of Wahiba Sands.

Whether you’re interested in history, nature, relaxing, adventure or culture, Oman has something to offer to each traveler.

Get inspired

We don’t believe in ‘one-size- fits-all’.

The below are itinerary samples – nothing here is set in stone.

As we treat and respect you – as an individual with personal tastes, likes & dislikes, preferences and wishes –  your holiday will be completely tailor-made to suit you and the people you’re traveling with.

The pictures of the hotels in the samples are of different hotels in the same area. We purposely show you several types of accommodation and will choose the perfect accommodation for you.

In order to get to know you and your preferences, we have developed the ‘Mikutu travel questionnaire’, asking questions others don’t. Don’t worry though, completing the questionnaire should only take  5-10 minutes of your time.

When you get in touch with us and have seen an itinerary that you like, you may refer to it so that we may use it as a springboard.

The price of our private guided holidays vary depending on the length of your holiday, the time of the year you travel, the number of travelers in your party, the places you wish to visit, the experiences you want to have, and the style of hotels you prefer. As a result, it’s nearly impossible to give you an indication of the final price of your holiday.

Rest assured: together, we will design your dream holiday!
